Precision Microbubbles secures £350k for ultrasound sorting technology

Precision Microbubbles, a London-based medical equipment manufacturer, has raised £350k in a recent funding round. The investment values the company at an estimated £3.3m.

Founded in July 2025, the company produces the M Sorter, a palm-sized disposable cartridge designed to purify commercially available microbubbles into uniform sizes. These tiny gas bubbles are used as contrast agents in medical imaging and as vehicles for therapeutic applications, such as drug delivery assisted by focused ultrasound.

The M Sorter addresses the lack of size uniformity in standard microbubble supplies. By ensuring bubbles are a consistent size, the technology allows them to respond predictably to ultrasound waves. This precision is intended to improve the safety and control of treatments involving the blood-brain barrier and other focused ultrasound procedures.

The company targets a customer base consisting of ultrasound contrast agent manufacturers, pharmaceutical and biotech teams, and medical imaging researchers. Precision Microbubbles currently operates with a team of four employees and focuses on specialties including microfluidics and medical device manufacturing.

This latest capital injection follows the company's incorporation less than a year ago. Documentation for the round was filed in May (with an allotment date also in May). The funding will support the continued development of its microfluidic devices and medical imaging specialties.
