Cirencester-based Petscribers raises £34.7m for digital veterinary prescription platform

Pet owners looking to find and order prescription medication from government-approved retailers use an online platform developed by Petscribers. The Cirencester-based company has secured £34.7m in its latest funding round, which places the business at an estimated post-money valuation of £2.6b.

Founded in 2021, the startup addresses barriers in the online veterinary medicines marketplace to improve animal welfare by making treatments more affordable. The service provides an end-to-end integrated digital price comparison tool within the veterinary activities sector.

This capital injection follows a smaller funding period in 2025, during which the company raised £294.9k. Total funding recorded for the 2026 calendar year currently stands at £34.3m. While latest accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025 listed a single employee, current LinkedIn data indicates the workforce has grown to six people.

The company is classified on LinkedIn under non-profit organizations and maintains its website at petscribers.co.uk. Documentation for this most recent share allotment was filed in August.
