An injectable bio-structural gel designed to restore the mechanics and biology of the intervertebral disc is the core focus of Orthoson Limited, which has just raised an estimated £1.7m. Based in Oxford, the company develops micro-invasive, one-session therapies for patients and clinicians seeking conservative alternatives to traditional surgery to treat low-back pain caused by degenerative disc disease. This disruptive medtech firm aims to transform clinical outcomes for spinal ailments.

Incorporated in 2015, the business has now secured a total of £4.9m throughout 2026. Financial records for the year ended 30 June 2025 show the organization employs 18 people. It operates within the manufacture of medical and dental instruments and supplies sector and specializes in spine-related development.

The recent funding injection follows documentation filed in September.
