Omideon secures £30k for carbohydrate binding module cancer research

Developing carbohydrate binding modules (CBMs) as a new therapeutic modality for cancer, Omideon Limited has secured an estimated £30k in its latest funding round. The St. Andrews based company filed the allotment on 5 May 2026, following an allotment date of 28 May 2025.
Omideon was incorporated on 23 April 2020 and focuses on targeting Tumour Associated Carbohydrate Antigens (TACAs). The company uses its CBM platform technology to generate cancer therapeutics that target the tumour glycome. Its lead candidate, OMI-DG1, is a multivalent CBM designed for the treatment of ovarian and colorectal cancer.
This £30k raise follows several previous funding injections. The company raised £120k in March 2025 and £142.5k in November 2023. Prior to those rounds, Omideon secured £130k in November 2022 and £245k in September 2021.
Latest financial filings show the company recorded a loss of £375,633. Omideon reports a headcount of one employee in its latest accounts, while LinkedIn data lists two employees. The company is headquartered in St. Andrews and operates within the biotechnology research sector.
