New Dawn Risk Group raises £450k at £8.1m valuation

Specialist insurance intermediary New Dawn Risk Group Limited has raised £450k in a new funding round. This latest investment values the London-based Lloyd's broker at an estimated £8.1m.
Founded in 2008, New Dawn Risk Group focuses on placing complex liability and specialty insurance and reinsurance risks. The company provides risk management advice, policy placement, and claims resolution to international intermediaries and insurance companies. Its primary service areas include professional indemnity, directors' and officers' liability, cyber insurance, and non-marine liability.
The £450k round (allotted in April 2026) follows a period of consistent capital activity. In April 2025, the firm raised £1m at a valuation of £7.6m. This current round indicates a valuation increase of approximately 6.5 percent over the last thirteen months. Other previous rounds include £650k in October 2024 and £200k in September 2022. The company also secured smaller amounts in 2018 (£93k) and 2016 (£149k across two allotments).
New Dawn Risk Group operates globally, placing risks in major hubs such as the London Market, Bermuda, Singapore, and the DIFC. The firm works with international partners on specialty product development and reinsurance treaties, while also serving direct insureds in the UK and EU.
According to financial filings for the year ended 30 April 2025, the company employed 24 staff members. More recent data from LinkedIn suggests the team has since grown to 31 employees. The business remains headquartered in London.
