A £2.1m funding round has been secured by Lune + Wild, a London-based manufacturer of organic frozen meals for children. The investment values the company at an estimated £9.7m post-money.
Founded in 2020, the business produces handmade, nutritionally balanced food options for babies and children. Its product range includes seasonal meals and finger foods designed by a chef founder and paediatric dietitians. The company targets parents looking for ethically sourced, plant-rich ingredients to support child development from weaning through to school age.
This capital injection follows several smaller funding rounds completed over the last two years. In May 2024, the company raised £41.8k at a £3.6m valuation. Earlier in 2024, it secured £60k at a £3.4m valuation. During 2023, the company completed rounds of £100k in December, £55k in April, and £55k in February. In 2022, the business raised £30k in March and £204k in February, both at a valuation of £2.2m.
The company operates from its headquarters in London and delivers its products to homes across mainland UK. Financial records for the year ending 31 December 2024 listed five employees, while more recent figures from LinkedIn suggest a headcount of 14. (The funding round involved an allotment of shares in March, with formal documentation filed in April).
Lune + Wild focuses on providing a variety of savoury-led ingredients to encourage healthy eating habits from an early age. Its recipes are developed to be fresh and seasonal, using organic produce to create meals that are delivered frozen to maintain nutritional quality. The business model prioritises convenient, high-quality food options that use diverse ingredients for children's development.
