Independent Scottish producer Loch Lomond Brewery has raised £447.8k in a new funding round that values the business at £5.4m. Based in Luss and operating from a 12,000 square foot facility near Dumbarton, the company produces a range of beers alongside distilled spirits including gin, vodka, rum, and whisky.

The business was incorporated in 2009 and began brewing operations in 2011. Originally started as a family venture in a home kitchen, the company moved to a 35hl brewery in late 2019. This facility includes in-house canning capabilities, allowing the firm to manage its entire production process for cask, keg, and canned varieties.

Loch Lomond Brewery supplies its products to major UK supermarkets and international export markets. It also maintains direct-to-consumer channels through an online retail platform and a physical taproom. The company has received several industry awards, including the CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and the SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016.

The latest funding round resulted in an estimated post-money valuation of £5.4m. This follows an allotment of shares in February (filed in April). Latest financial filings indicate the company employs 13 people, while its LinkedIn profile suggests a core team of 8 staff members. The company rebranded in 2018 and currently operates from its headquarters near Dumbarton.
