London-based Impetus Labs raises £250k for browser automation platform

Controlling real browsers at scale for data extraction is the core focus of Impetus Labs Ltd, which has just raised an estimated £250k. The London-based company, incorporated in 2023, develops Gaffa, a REST API designed for browser automation and web scraping.
Gaffa allows developers to manage browser instances to facilitate AI agent workflows and complex data extraction tasks. The technology converts web content into formats such as LLM-ready Markdown, which is used by software developers to feed clean data into large language models. The platform automates web interactions that typically require manual navigation, providing a service for businesses needing to process web-based information at scale.
This funding round places the company at an estimated post-money valuation of £2.2m. The investment follows share allotment documentation filed in April. The capital is directed toward the development of the company's browser automation and web scraping software.
Impetus Labs operates from its headquarters in London. The company was founded to address the difficulties developers face when extracting data from complex web environments and converting it into developer-friendly formats. Financial metrics such as annual revenue, employee count, and profit/loss were not disclosed in the latest filing.
