Handcrafted jeans manufacturer Hiut Ltd has secured an estimated £400k to support its operations in Cardigan. The company, which trades as Hiut Denim Co., specializes in the production of organic and selvedge denim apparel.

Founded in 2011, the business was established to bring garment manufacturing back to a town with a history in the trade. Hiut Denim Co. focuses exclusively on making jeans, utilizing a team of experienced sewers. The company emphasizes a low-impact, sustainable approach to fashion, which includes a free repair service provided for the lifetime of its products.

The funding round was documented in May 2026. This investment follows a period of growth for the Welsh firm. While accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025 listed 17 employees, more recent data from LinkedIn suggests the workforce has expanded to 38 people.

The company operates from its headquarters in Cardigan, where it manages the entire production process from cutting to sewing.
