Healthera raises £249.4k to scale pharmacy technology platform

Cambridge-based Healthera has secured £249.4k in its latest funding round to support the development of its digital health infrastructure. The company provides a platform that links patients with local pharmacies across the UK, facilitating prescription ordering, medicine management, and the booking of clinical services.
Founded in 2015, Healthera addresses the operational challenges faced by traditional pharmacies by providing white-label mobile applications and web integrations. These tools allow pharmacies to manage patient interactions digitally and streamline internal workflows. The company currently employs 31 people at its Cambridge headquarters.
This latest capital injection follows a period of frequent fundraising activity for the business. In the first half of 2025, the company recorded several allotments, including £50k in May and four separate allotments in April totaling approximately £726k. This pattern of incremental raises was also present in late 2024, with rounds of £74.3k in December and £225.8k in October.
The current round is smaller than the company's peak raises in 2024, which included a £961.3k round in April and a £542.6k round in June. Since the start of 2024, Healthera has raised more than £3m through these successive allotments (filing documentation for the latest round was processed in May 2026, following an allotment in April 2026).
The platform serves as a digital bridge for pharmacies to offer services beyond simple dispensing, such as health consultations and vaccinations. By integrating with existing pharmacy systems, the technology aims to improve patient adherence to medication and reduce the administrative burden on healthcare providers.
