Hawkhill Therapeutics secures £1m seed round for obesity treatment

Pioneering a first-in-class oral therapy for obesity, Hawkhill Therapeutics Limited is developing a treatment that selectively reduces fat mass while preserving muscle to improve metabolic health for individuals with excess weight. The Dundee-based biotechnology firm recently secured a £1,000k seed funding round to advance this work.

The company was incorporated in June 2025 and has now raised a total of £3.8m during 2026. This cumulative figure includes the latest investment, which was allotted in September.
