Gearbox Records secures £388.4k for vinyl production and archival releases

Producing high-quality vinyl records for audiophiles and music enthusiasts is the core focus of London-based Gearbox Records Ltd, which has just secured £388.4k in funding. The independent record label concentrates on archival blues and jazz recordings alongside new music from contemporary alternative, folk, and electronic artists.

The business was incorporated in 2014 and operates a bespoke mastering studio to create previously unavailable cuts. This latest capital injection, representing the total raised in 2026, was allotted in March and formally filed in September. The total funding raised during the 2025 calendar year amounted to £16.9k.

Accounts for the year ended 30 June 2025 show the company had three employees. More recent data from LinkedIn indicates the headcount has reached six. The firm operates within the sound recording and music publishing activities sector and maintains an online presence at gearboxrecords.com.
