Providing lab-quality diagnostic information at the point-of-need is the primary objective of Fuse Diagnostics Limited, which has secured £99.9k in its latest funding round. Based in Saint Ives, the biotechnology firm produces the Flip and Apex platforms to provide rapid, low-cost diagnostic data across multiple industries.

Founded in 2022, the company targets sectors including bioprocessing, food, water, and veterinary services. Its technology aims to replace traditional immunoassay and PCR methods, which the company states often fail to deliver accurate results in decentralized environments. By using multianalytic chemistry, Fuse Diagnostics provides onsite pathogen testing and point-of-care clinical diagnostics.

This latest funding (allotted in May 2026) follows several previous rounds. The company raised £439.1k in December 2025 and £239.4k in May 2024. In November 2023, the firm completed two separate allotments of £265.1k and £249.9k. The specific valuation for the current round was not disclosed.

Financial records for the year ending 31 December 2024 show the company employed 10 people, though more recent data suggests the team has grown to 14 staff members. Fuse Diagnostics operates from the Cambridge area, where it manages both the development and manufacturing of its diagnostic products. The company website indicates that its chemistry is designed to overcome the cost and performance challenges associated with established testing approaches.
