Supercorrelation technology developer Focal Point Positioning Ltd. has raised an estimated £4.4m in a seed funding round. Based in Cambridge, the company develops AI-based software designed to enhance the accuracy and security of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Its patented software-level solutions mitigate signal interference and spoofing, which are common challenges for satellite-based positioning.

The company provides its technology to chipset manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across the smartphone, wearable, and autonomous vehicle industries. By addressing multipath interference, where signals bounce off buildings in dense urban environments, the software improves the reliability of location data for consumer and industrial hardware.

Founded in 2015, Focal Point Positioning has a history of securing capital to support its research and development. This latest £4.4m round follows a £7.3m raise in February 2024 and a £47.9k injection in April 2024. During 2023, the firm secured £1.5m in December. Earlier funding activity includes two rounds in 2021 for £4.6m and £2.6m, as well as a £4m round in January 2017.

The company currently employs 50 people. According to its latest financial filings, Focal Point Positioning reported a loss of £8,481,873. Documentation for this current seed round was filed in March 2026, following an allotment of shares that took place in January 2026.
