London based retail technology startup Ecoshop Limited has successfully raised £120k in a seed funding round. The investment values the early stage company at an estimated £1.1m post money.
Founded in November 2025, Ecoshop Limited specialises in sustainable retail innovations and digital commerce platforms. The company provides flexible, recyclable solutions for physical retail spaces, such as temporary shop in shop environments, event setups, and fully reconfigurable retail fixturing programmes. Alongside its physical retail solutions, Ecoshop develops e-commerce platforms and software for business and domestic users. The core problem the company addresses is the environmental impact and inflexibility of traditional retail fit outs. By providing modular and recyclable fixtures, Ecoshop allows retailers to adapt to changing consumer landscapes quickly and responsibly without generating excessive waste.
As a recently incorporated entity, Ecoshop is currently in its early development phase and lists zero full time employees on its professional networks. The company has not yet publicly reported revenue or profit figures. Ecoshop is focusing its initial capital on product development and establishing its dual offering of physical sustainable fixtures and digital retail software.
The seed round, which was allotted on March 24, 2026, and filed the following day, brings £120k of fresh capital into the business. At a post money valuation of £1.1m, the round provides the foundational runway for the four month old startup. Specific investors were not disclosed in the corporate filings. As this is the company's first external fundraise since its inception, there are no previous rounds for comparison.
The funding arrives at a time when the UK retail sector is under increasing pressure to adopt circular economy principles. According to the 2026 Sustainable Retail Barometer by BearingPoint, 69 percent of UK consumers now factor sustainability into their purchasing decisions, pushing retailers to build scalable circular capabilities. The same report highlights that 78 percent of UK consumers are aware of their sustainability impact through consumption choices. Furthermore, the broader UK environmental, social, and governance investment market is experiencing significant growth, driven by regulatory pressures and consumer demand for responsible practices. Ecoshop's focus on recyclable materials and reconfigurable environments positions it directly within this growing intersection of retail technology and clean technology, offering brands a way to reduce waste in their physical footprints while maintaining agile operations.
