CBMM International BV increases stake in Echion Technologies as new investors join

Sawston-based Echion Technologies Ltd develops niobium-based anode materials, branded as XNO, for ultra-fast charging lithium-ion batteries. Founded in 2017, the company supplies battery cell manufacturers within heavy-duty sectors such as rail, marine, and mining.

The largest change in the recent confirmation statement for the period ending 4 April 2026 is a 56 percent stake increase by CBMM International BV. The investor added 300,223 shares, bringing its total holding to 833,759 shares. BGF Nominees Limited also increased its position by 37 percent to 670,761 shares. BGF is also a shareholder in Oxa Autonomy Ltd.

Several new investors joined the cap table, which may signal a recent round of investment. The Chancellor, Masters and Scholars of the University of Cambridge now holds 310,295 shares; the institution also backs Nyobolt Limited. Sustainable Impact Capital Limited, a shareholder in Elm Mobility Limited, entered with 287,550 shares. Other new entrants include Maven Cognition (KCP) Nominees Limited with 127,583 shares and Volta Ech Co-Investment, LP with 118,478 shares. Maven Cognition also holds stakes in TypeDB Ltd and Jellagen Limited.

Departing the cap table were MNL Nominees Limited, which previously held 127,583 shares, and WCS Nominees Limited, which held 52,600 shares. Collingwood Capital Partners AG increased its holding to 48,598 shares. Existing shareholders remaining on the cap table include Origin Capital Nominees Limited with 365,585 shares and Martlet Capital Limited with 107,230 shares.
