London-based Deontics raises £300k for AI clinical decision support

Clinical decision support provider Deontics Limited has secured an estimated £300k in its latest investment round. Based in London, the company develops sophisticated software tools designed to promote evidence-based and personalized medicine for clinicians, providers, and patients across primary, secondary, and tertiary care environments.

Incorporated in 2013, the business originated as a spin-out from Oxford University, University College London, and Cancer Research UK. Its technology addresses the challenge of medical reasoning by blending individual patient data with professional guidelines to generate transparent treatment recommendations. These clinically-driven AI systems integrate directly into existing healthcare workflows via electronic medical records.

Applications for the system span various fields including cancer services, emergency medicine, and pharmacogenomics. Beyond diagnostic tools, the platform supports operational efficiency, the management of drug trial protocols, and precision medicine through descriptive analytics in the digital health space.

This June (2026) funding follows a larger £1.2m capital injection recorded the previous year. Financial filings for the period ending 31 December 2025 show the firm employed 10 people, though more recent data from LinkedIn indicates a current headcount of 12 staff.
