An estimated £26.3m funding round has been secured by Datum Alloys Group Limited to support its output of precision components and foil-mounted frames. Based in Totnes, the company operates as a production holding firm providing laser-cutting, CNC machining, and custom metal-working services for the electronics manufacturing and surface-mount technology (SMT) markets.
The business was incorporated in 2019 to solve tolerance issues in advanced materials, becoming a supplier that guarantees a 2% gauge tolerance in stainless-steel foils. Its inventory includes solder pallet material, nickel-plated tags for battery packs, and mesh frames, alongside services such as electro-polishing and laser engraving. A global footprint is maintained through facilities in Singapore, Mexico, and the USA.
Financial statements for the year ended 31 July 2024 report a £422.8k loss. During that period, the company employed 39 people, though more recent data from LinkedIn suggests a headcount of 24. The firm holds ISO 9001 certification and provides specialized wave pallet tooling and pre-meshed stencil frames.
Documentation for this investment was filed in June 2026, marking the only capital injection recorded for the group. The company also produces battery connectors and prototypes for customers in the battery industry requiring rapid turnaround times.
