Cardiff-based Cavefish raises £100k for emotional decision-intelligence AI

Forecasting how people respond to high-stakes corporate decisions is the focus of Cavefish Ltd, which has just raised £100k. This investment gives the Cardiff-based company an estimated post-money valuation of £2.8m.

Incorporated in 2023, the firm develops the EchoDepth emotional decision-intelligence platform. The system provides senior leaders with communication intelligence regarding organizational change, leadership credibility, and M&A programs, specifically for enterprise customers in safety-critical or high-trust environments. By providing early insight into emotional risk, the software aims to prevent trust erosion that often occurs when sentiment is only measured after outcomes are locked in.

The business operates in the IT services and consulting industry, focusing on ethical AI systems that avoid individual monitoring or diagnostic functions. Financial accounts for the year ended 30 September 2025 recorded a headcount of one employee. More recent data indicates the workforce has expanded to four people. Documentation for this funding round was filed in September 2026.
