Peer-to-peer sports games provider Betmate Ltd has secured an estimated £300k in its latest funding round. The Liverpool-based company operates a social betting platform that allows users to compete against each other in fantasy football and other sports games based on real-world events.
Founded in 2020, Betmate focuses on the UK market. The platform provides interactive people-versus-people games designed to offer a social alternative to traditional bookmaker-led betting.
This latest capital injection follows several previous funding rounds. In 2025, the company raised £237.5k in December and £1.2m in July. Earlier funding includes a £235k round in July 2024 at a £6.8m valuation and a £215.9k round in May 2023 at a £6.5m valuation. Previous valuations were recorded at £6.3m in November 2022, £6.1m in September 2022, £1.9m in July 2022, and £915k in June 2021.
Financial accounts for the year ended 31 May 2025 show Betmate reported a £452.2k loss. The company's employee count is listed as six in its latest accounts, though LinkedIn data suggests a headcount of 16. The business is headquartered in Liverpool and focuses its operations on the UK social gaming sector.
The documentation for this £300k round was filed in May 2026, with the allotment of shares also taking place during that month.
