Wells-based Balance Eco secures fresh funding for biodiversity-focused carbon credits

Carbon credits that integrate biodiversity and social equity are the focus of Wells-based Balance Eco Ltd, which has just raised an estimated £53.9k. The company provides Balance Units, a product designed to facilitate carbon removal through nature restoration and community empowerment projects. These units are marketed to a range of clients, from individuals and small to medium-sized businesses to large corporations looking to mitigate their environmental impact through long-term climate action.

Incorporated in 2015, the environmental consulting firm has now raised a total of £83k throughout 2026. This follows a larger fundraising total of £313.1k recorded during 2025.

Financial records for the year ended 30 June 2025 show the company maintains a headcount of one employee. This latest funding round was formally documented in September (following an allotment of shares in July).
