Devon startup secures capital for sustainability data technology

An estimated £50k has been raised by Newton Abbot-based Ecological Intelligence Ltd in a recent funding round, valuing the business at £1.1m.

The company develops a Land Health System that includes mapping and planning capabilities for land managers, farmers, and advisors. By using GIS and satellite data, the platform offers field-by-field scoring and historical trajectory records to provide diagnostic-grade intelligence on field functioning. These services provide evidence for ESG disclosure teams aligned with frameworks such as TNFD, ESRS, CSRD, and the GHG protocol.

Founded in November 2025, the firm, also known as EcoIntel, operates with a team of three employees within the software development sector. Its LinkedIn profile lists headquarters in Ashburton. The solution functions as a low-cost ADP (assessment, diagnostics, and practical guidance) platform, rather than a standard MRV (measurement, reporting, and verification) tool for land performance. It cross-checks carbon figures against authoritative public datasets and adheres to ISO 14068 standards for ecosystem health.
