Awaken Technology secures £60k pre-seed round for AI eye care platform

An estimated £60k pre-seed investment has been raised by Awaken Technology Ltd, a London-based startup developing a proactive eye care brand. This funding round values the company at an estimated £2.6m. The business aims to provide a window into ocular surface health through a combination of daily products and AI-powered diagnostics.

Founded in July 2025, the company addresses the fact that most people spend over seven hours a day on screens, leading to symptoms of permanent damage or dryness. Its model focuses on preventing chronic inflammation and premature ageing by making eye health maintenance as routine as dental hygiene. The platform is designed to offer individuals and industry partners insights into biometric data that was previously unavailable.

The startup currently operates with a team of two employees. Beyond physical products, the firm is building a real-time biometric eye dataset intended to provide insights into user health trends based on user trust. This funding follows an allotment of shares in April, with formal documentation filed in July.
