Manchester-based Ardhann Ltd raises £40k for smart composite technology

Published

Manchester-based Ardhann Ltd has secured £40k in a new funding round that values the company at £1m. The startup develops smart composite solutions, specifically fibre-reinforced composites integrated with graphene 2D materials and AI-enabled monitoring. These materials are designed for use in hydrogen and hydrocarbon energy infrastructure, as well as the aerospace and defense sectors.

Ardhann addresses the need for structural assurance in high-pressure storage and transfer applications. Its technology, described as Material Intelligence and Structural Assurance as a Service, embeds graphene-based sensors within carbon-fibre structures to provide real-time data on strain, temperature, and pressure. This allows for the creation of self-monitoring materials capable of delivering predictive performance data for infrastructure.

Founded in February 2025, Ardhann operates with a single employee according to its LinkedIn profile. The firm is headquartered in Manchester and focuses on manufacturing techniques such as braiding, filament winding, robotics, and additive manufacturing.

The £40k investment results in a post-money valuation of £1m. Documentation for the allotment was filed in May 2026. Specific revenue or profit and loss figures are not yet available for the company. Ardhann aims to use its technology-led solutions to improve energy infrastructure for storage and transfer applications.
