Arabpay raises £483.9k for cross-border banking infrastructure
Published
A funding round of £483.9k has been secured by Arabpay Limited, valuing the Glasgow-based company at £1m. The firm acts as the regional program manager for the Digital Local Currency Programme in the Arab region, allowing bank syndicates to negotiate currency demand and access retail payment infrastructure.
Founded in 2024, the business functions as a cross-border RegTech advisory that translates national digital mandates into bilateral infrastructure. It aims to replace legacy correspondent banking chains with sovereign corridors anchored on national switches and domestic payment schemes such as Mada, Jaywan, Meeza, and CliQ.
Operations are managed through a network of eight regulated national subsidiaries, including SaudiPay, EmiratesPay, EgyptPay, and JordanPay, which are led by local founders. The firm utilizes a proprietary methodology known as the DIAMOND framework to align with national programs such as Saudi Vision 2030 and the UAE Digital Strategy 2025.
Latest accounts for the period ending 30 September 2025 recorded eight employees, while LinkedIn data indicates a headcount of three. Documentation for the share allotment was filed in September 2026.
