Stokenchurch-based Antigenika Ltd has secured an estimated £589.9k in a new funding round to support the development of oral combination therapies for snakebite envenoming. The company, which was incorporated in 2024, targets high-risk populations in low- and middle-income countries where access to traditional antivenom is often limited.

Beyond its therapeutic pipeline, Antigenika provides custom antibody development services and supplies venom products to the global life science research community. The business model combines the development of proprietary medical treatments with the provision of specialized materials for biomedical research.

This latest capital injection follows a £1.3m seed round completed in March 2026 and an earlier round of £281k in October 2025. The new funding brings the total known investment into the company to approximately £2.17m.

The company recently updated its leadership team with the appointment of Yue Xin as a director in May 2026. This board change coincided with the filing of the latest share allotment documentation.

Antigenika operates from its headquarters in Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire. Its latest financial accounts were filed for the year ended 31 December 2024. While the company has not publicly disclosed its current employee headcount or specific profit and loss figures in this latest filing, the series of funding rounds indicates a period of growth since its founding two years ago.
