Lower-limb amputees can access faster prosthetic fittings through the Amparo System, a remoldable socket technology developed by High Wycombe-based Amparo Prosthetics Ltd. The company has secured an estimated £660.8k in a Series A funding round.

Amparo Prosthetics Ltd manufactures and supplies a direct-fit prosthetic socket designed for use in both developed and low-resource markets. The technology allows orthopedic clinics and technicians to provide mobile, time-efficient solutions for prosthetic fitting and rehabilitation. By using remoldable materials, the system reduces the time required for traditional prosthetic manufacturing and adjustment.

Founded in 2021, the company operates with a team of two employees. Latest financial accounts show a loss of £27,055. This Series A round (allotted December 2025) follows a larger funding injection of £1.4m in September 2025. Prior to that, the company raised £143.6k in September 2024, £32.5k in January 2024, and two smaller amounts in 2023 totaling £116.5k. Its earliest recorded funding was a £20k round in April 2022.

The Amparo System targets the specific needs of technicians who require portable tools for patient care. The technology is designed to be adjusted on-site, which simplifies the rehabilitation process for patients who might otherwise face multiple appointments for socket adjustments.

The company is headquartered in High Wycombe and focuses on the manufacture of medical instruments and supplies. Specific valuation figures for this latest round were not disclosed in the filing documents (filed March 2026).
