Ultra-rapid diagnostic technology that identifies infectious diseases from saliva samples within 60 seconds is being developed by Accelerated Diagnostics Limited. The Harlow-based company recently secured an estimated £119k in fresh capital, resulting in a post-money valuation of £1.1m. Its diagnostic process removes the requirement for traditional laboratory-based PCR testing.
Incorporated in July 2025, the startup focuses its initial commercial efforts on the veterinary sector. The technology is designed to detect tuberculosis in cattle and other animal-specific infections. While the current priority is the veterinary market, the business intends to adapt its platform for future applications in human healthcare.
The new investment contributes to a total of £247.6k raised by the company during 2026. Mana Saeed was appointed as a director in June. The share allotment for this specific funding round took place in April, with formal documentation filed in July.
