Wellfish Tech raises £934k for aquaculture health monitoring

Continuous health monitoring for farmed fish is now available to aquaculture producers through blood-based diagnostic testing developed by Wellfish Tech Ltd. The Paisley-based company recently secured an estimated £934.6k in new funding. These services enable feed optimisation and informed treatment decisions for species such as salmon across UK and international markets.
Incorporated in 2021, the business provides rapid clinical chemistry and biomarker analysis to fish farms and related operations. According to its latest accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, the firm employed 12 people. More recent data from LinkedIn indicates the workforce has since grown to 33 staff members within the biotechnology research sector.
This latest investment brings the total capital raised during 2026 to £929.8k. Formal documentation for the round was filed in August (with an allotment date also in August). The company maintains its digital presence at wellfishtech.com.
