Skip hire companies and scrap dealers are the target market for Wastrio Ltd, a London-based developer of digital waste tracking tools. The platform allows waste transfer stations and metal recyclers to manage Waste Transfer Notes (WTNs) electronically, replacing traditional paperwork systems to ensure compliance with DEFRA regulations mandating the transition in October 2026.

The startup recently secured an estimated £41k in new funding, which brings the total capital raised during 2026 to £75k. This latest round results in an estimated post-money valuation of £575k for the business.

Incorporated in March 2026, the firm currently employs two people. Users can log loads, manage carriers, and generate audit-ready documentation from any device without requiring formal training. Business activities also include writing, modifying, and testing domestic software, alongside the design of systems software, databases, and web pages. The share allotment for this funding round took place in August (with formal filings processed in September 2026).
