Snitch Ltd (company number 16428909), based in St. Albans, has raised an estimated £1.2m seed round to develop technology that helps users reduce time spent on devices. Incorporated in May 2025, the firm addresses the issue of mindless scrolling by treating dependency as a collective challenge rather than an individual one.

Developed alongside psychologists and behaviour change experts, the product allows friends to keep each other accountable for their usage. This approach targets the 55% of Gen Z and Millennials who self-report feeling addicted to their phones.

The company currently operates with a team of four employees. Its broader technical capabilities include systems analysis, programming, system maintenance, and database design. The business also provides custom software development for both business and domestic applications, alongside data analysis consultancy and web page design services.

Documentation for the funding was filed in September 2026, with the allotment of shares occurring during the same month.
