Slate Medicines secures £22.3m to develop headache disorder therapeutics

Developing new therapeutics for migraine and other headache disorders is the primary focus of Altrincham-based Slate Medicines Uk Limited. The company concentrates on research and experimental development within the natural sciences and engineering fields. Its current lead program involves the development of a monoclonal antibody designed to target PACAP.
An estimated £22.3m has been raised in the latest funding round for the biotech firm. This investment contributes to a total of £28.2m in funding secured by the business since the start of 2026.
The entity was incorporated in February 2026. Administrative filings for the share allotment were completed in July, following the close of the round in June.
