Sensible Spark secures £50k investment for film industry collaboration platform

London-based Sensible Spark was founded in 2024 by Fred and Anabela to connect film and TV creatives with funding opportunities. The company operates a marketplace where production companies and project owners match with the specific crew, cast, and distributors required to bring content to life.

Users enter projects as Sparks, which include the title, logline, budget, and team details. These entries remain private by default, with pre-vetted parties requiring permission from the owner to view project information. This system is designed to support both individual writers and full production slates during the development phase.

The business has recently secured an estimated £50k in new funding, resulting in a post-money valuation of approximately £4m. Revenue is generated through a 3% success fee on any funding or payments facilitated via the platform, with no subscription fees or upfront costs charged to users.
