Scalr secures £1m seed round for infrastructure management platform

Platform engineers at organisations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies use Scalr, a Cardiff-based SaaS platform. The company provides a remote state and operations backend for Terraform and OpenTofu, facilitating developer self-service and infrastructure management at scale. A seed funding round has raised an estimated £1m for the business.

Scalr Platform Holdings Limited operates in the business and domestic software development sector and currently lists two employees on its LinkedIn profile. It was incorporated in August 2026, the same month Sam Benjamin Stone joined the board as a director.

Stone's profile suggests he may be an early-stage VC investor. Ege Partal was appointed as a director; AI matching indicates a potential background in foodservice platforms and M&A. The company maintains an online presence at scalrplatform.com.

Patrick Shearer was named as a director, with unverified data suggesting he may be an Investment Banking Vice President at William Blair. The documentation for this funding round was filed and the shares allotted in September.
