Occam Industries raises £2.2m for drone autopilot technology
Published
An estimated £2.2m has been raised by Occam Industries for its retrofit drone autopilot system. Based in London, the company develops OccamX, a computer vision platform designed to provide autonomous flight capabilities for FPV drones. The round results in an estimated post-money valuation of £5.4m.
Incorporated in June 2025, the startup addresses the high level of manual skill required to operate mass-manufactured UAV platforms. By integrating software into existing hardware, perception, tracking, and guidance are enabled without requiring modifications to airframes, supply chains, or OEM ownership. Marketing is directed primarily toward defence organisations and other entities requiring such systems to act as a force multiplier while keeping responsibility within a chain of command.
Previous funding for the business includes £200k raised in 2025. According to LinkedIn data, the team currently consists of eight people. Formal documentation was filed in September (following an August allotment date).
