Hexiosec secures £600k to expand cybersecurity and file transfer platforms

Published

Hexiosec Limited, a Cheltenham-based firm founded by former UK government, defense, and intelligence engineers, has raised an estimated £600.1k. The company provides an External Attack Surface Management platform called Hexiosec ASM and an end-to-end encrypted file-transfer solution known as Hexiosec Transfer. These products target organizations requiring proactive threat monitoring and secure, compliant data handling.

Incorporated in 2018, the business previously operated under the name Red Maple Technologies. Its ASM tool, formerly known as FractalScan Surface, provides an outside-in perspective of a digital estate to identify gaps in supply chains. The transfer product, previously branded as Trebuchet, utilizes enhanced encryption to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive documents during sharing.

This funding brings the total capital raised by the company in 2026 to £1.2m. Financial records for the year ended 30 June 2025 show the firm had 18 employees, while more recent figures suggest the headcount has reached 21. The consultancy also offers technical services such as penetration testing, security incident response, and the design of secure cloud infrastructures.

Broader expertise at the firm includes virtual CISO advisory, ISO27001 compliance, and security awareness training. Formal documentation for the recent share allotment was filed in August (following a July allotment date).
