An estimated £1m investment has been raised by Geoverlay Limited, a Coventry-based firm operating in the business and domestic software development sector. This funding round values the company at approximately £6m. Its core product is an augmented-reality mobile application that enables users to attach and view text messages at specific geographic locations through a phone camera.

The app is marketed to consumers who want location-based reminders and AR-enhanced experiences. Use cases for the technology include identifying the position of a parked car, establishing meeting points, or leaving personal markers in the physical environment.

Incorporated in 2012, the company operates with a single employee according to financial filings for the year ended 28 August 2025. The allotment of shares for this capital raise took place in September 2026, with the corresponding documentation filed during the same month.
