Managing the Salesforce development lifecycle is the core focus of Gearset, which has just closed a £374.1k funding round. Based in Cambridge, the company provides a DevOps platform that includes continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) automation, metadata comparisons, and backup and restore services. The software is used by Salesforce administrators, developers, and DevOps engineers to manage releases and protect data within enterprise environments.

Gearset was incorporated in 2016 to solve challenges associated with Salesforce deployments and release management. Its platform offers a range of tools including sandbox seeding, test automation, data archiving, and change monitoring. The company serves over 3,000 enterprises globally, including organizations in regulated sectors such as healthcare and financial services.

The latest funding of £374.1k (allotted April 2026) follows several previous investment rounds. Gearset raised £2.9m in June 2025 and £1.6m in September 2024. These recent rounds are smaller than the company's earlier financing, which included a £20m round in May 2022 and a £37.1m round in July 2018.

Financial statements for the year ending 31 December 2024 show that Gearset recorded a £996.7k loss. While the company reported 262 employees in its latest filed accounts, current LinkedIn data suggests the workforce has grown to approximately 360 people. The company operates as a Salesforce Partner and maintains security standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certification to support its global client base.
