Frontier Diagnostics raises £1.7m for circulating tumour cell platform

An advanced liquid-biopsy platform designed to capture and analyse circulating tumour cells has been developed by Frontier Diagnostics. Based in Isleworth, the company provides research tools for scientists studying cancer biology and tumour dynamics to support the development of next-generation diagnostics.

A recent funding round has raised an estimated £1.7m for the biotechnology firm, resulting in an estimated post-money valuation of £10.8m. This capital injection follows a previous year of activity where the business secured £930.1k throughout 2025. Total funding raised across 2026 now stands at £1.6m.

Founded in 2022, the startup targets both academic and commercial researchers within the oncology field. LinkedIn data indicates a current headcount of 12 employees. The most recent financial accounts for the business were filed for the year ended 31 October 2024.

Documentation for the latest share allotment was filed in August (following an allotment date in June).
