Cardiff travel tech startup Finalrentals raises £196k

Connecting local car rental companies with global travelers through a dedicated SaaS platform is the core focus of Cardiff-based Finalrentals Limited, which has recently raised an estimated £196.1k.
Finalrentals Limited provides a suite of digital tools including e-commerce, booking management, and fleet oversight. The company also integrates AI-driven automation to help local rental operators streamline their operations and reach a wider customer base. These automation tools are designed to optimize pricing and manage customer interactions, reducing the manual workload for small-scale rental teams.
The business was incorporated in 2022 to solve the visibility and technical hurdles faced by independent car rental firms. By using the Finalrentals platform, these local providers can access international markets that were previously difficult to penetrate without significant marketing spend or technical infrastructure.
This latest funding round of £196.1k follows a period of growth for the Welsh startup. Financial records for the year ending 31 March 2025 show the company has a team of nine employees. The funding was confirmed in filings made in April (with an allotment date in March).
Finalrentals operates within the travel technology sector, focusing on the digitisation of the vehicle rental supply chain. Its platform serves as both a consumer-facing marketplace for bookings and a back-end management system for the rental companies themselves. The company is headquartered in Cardiff and continues to develop its fleet management and booking technology for the global travel market.
