Char.gy secures £5m to expand on-street EV charging network

An estimated £5m in new funding has been secured by Char.gy Limited. The London-based company installs lamppost-mounted chargers to provide UK EV owners without off-street parking with reliable and affordable access to power. This infrastructure targets local authorities looking to expand their public charging networks.

Incorporated in 2016, the business operates within the electricity trade sector. Total funding raised throughout 2026 now stands at £10m, following a total of £10.3m secured across 2025.

Financial records for the year ended 31 March 2026 show the firm recorded a £12.5m loss. While Companies House filings list a single employee, the company's LinkedIn profile currently reports a headcount of zero. The new shares were allotted in August 2026, with formal documentation filed during the same month.
